Soul Food

Soul Food centers on the meal each person returns to for steadiness and ease. For the artist, that meal happens to be ramen.
A dark bowl gathers tightly wound coils shaped by hand, arranged like noodles held in broth. Each form is rolled and placed deliberately. Red chopsticks rest across the surface, suggesting use rather than display.
Constructed through layered paper and PLA, the work gives material form to a personal source of comfort. The joy here is quiet and sustaining.
