Brief Companions

Brief Companions is a series of mixed-media portraits centered on individuality, companionship, and the quiet resilience found in everyday relationships.

Each piece is inspired by a dog with its own distinct presence, rendered through layered paper forms that favor character over likeness.

Together, the works reflect the small, intimate bonds formed through care and shared time, where differences are not corrected but held.

The dogs in Brief Companions are inspired by encounters during periods of transition — brief meetings on the street or within rescue spaces, where companionship exists without permanence.
